More fun in Key West

As we waited for good sailing weather to Dry Tortugas, we continued to enjoy Key West.

One more day of stormy weather and then another day to let the seas settle down. Here's another picture of the giant size Carnival Cruise ship from our anchorage of little tiny sailboats.

But life on board wasn't gloomy--we made pizza! It might not look like much to you, but it certainly was a bright spot for us.

And, as the seas settled, we went ashore in Key West. This lovely schooner seemed to be back in business as were the parasail rides off in the distance.

From shore we could see Caribbean Soul anchored across the way--all is well. Also, the rental jet skies were out in force. The jet skies seem to go in good weather or bad.

And to prove that Key West is a very different sort of place, we've included these pictures of the naked ladies found near the cruise ship docks.

It turns out that they are statues of the Tahiti women Paul Gauguin painted. Key West has added a statue of a tourist enjoying the dancing Gauguins.

Penny checks on Gauguin as he paints the ladies.

Paul agreed to have his picture made with Penny.

And, John compares notes with the "watcher."

Tomorrow we head out for the two-day sail to Dry Tortugas.
