New Year's Eve in Key West

Here's Duval Street, Key West early on New Year's Eve. The giant red highheel shoe you see suspended from the second floor porch will slide down to street level at the midnight countdown. John and I didn't actually see that happen, because we were already back at the boat-I think CNN covered it.

Sorry these pictures are so dark. Here is the partying at Schooner's Wharf both downstairs and the upstairs deck.

This is the band at Schooners Wharf.

From our perch on Duval Street, we made phone calls and watch a contant parade of strange costumes and tourists.

Oh yes--we do want you to see what those #&%@#!! anhingas (Cormorant cousins) did to our boat. Nasty birds.

We're trying to remember how to post videos. Try this: click on the URL below to catch a glimpse of the New Year's Eve merriment on Duval Street, Key West : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnc36ciFldM
