St. Aug. Gearing Up for Christmas

Saturday Night in St. Augustine was very festive. John and I had ventured into town at noon to get a good seat for the Carolina v Kentucky game. That means we were pulling up a bar stool in front of one of JP Henley's large flat tv screens. The deal at Henley's is that they have a"policy" of never turning up the sound -- they'll click through a zillion channels to find your game -- but don't expect them to turn up the sound. We must have looked pitiful because they put us in a back room and actually turned up the sound for us. That was all good until the last 10 min. of the game--yikes, losing by one point--that was a tough one. So we needed to rest up before the evening festivities. Here are some random pictures:

The next five pictures are of the Chrismas Jazz guys and us at the Tini Martini Bar.

This is the downtown park right across from the Municipal Marina where we were moored.

And this was the Christmas parade replete with pirates, Cinderella carriages, a Cat-a-Hat photographer and a giant armadillo with a red nose!

Merry Christmas to you.
Tomorrow we're cruising south on the intercoastal waterway (ICW). Weather is warm and nice!
